RATIUM.AI Rights & Provenance
Canonical Source, Authorship, Copyright, Reuse, and Publication Identity
RATIUM.AI is a public research and development corpus created and published under the authorship and direction of Benny Dunavich.
This page defines the canonical-source, authorship, rights, reuse, and provenance framework applicable to original RATIUM.AI publications unless a specific publication states otherwise.
The governing principle is:
Public Accessibility ≠ Transfer of Ownership
RATIUM.AI is designed to remain discoverable, indexable, referenceable, and open to public examination. Public availability does not convert its original publications into ownerless, substitutable, or freely republishable content.
1. Canonical Source
Each substantive RATIUM.AI publication may be assigned a canonical URL representing its authoritative public publication instance.
Where copies, quotations, summaries, translations, cached representations, archives, screenshots, exports, mirrors, or other reproductions exist, their existence does not by itself replace the RATIUM.AI canonical source.
The governing distinction is:
Representation ≠ Origin
A third-party copy may reproduce an object. It does not thereby become the originating publication.
2. Author and Publisher Identity
Unless a specific publication expressly identifies another author or rights holder:
Canonical author: Benny Dunavich
Publisher: RATIUM.AI — Independent R&D (AI Systems)
RATIUM.AI publication records may additionally identify a first-publication date, version, publication status, canonical object identifier, modification date, or cryptographic fingerprint.
These records are intended to make publication identity reconstructable across time and across technical systems.
3. Copyright Boundary
Unless otherwise stated, copyright is claimed in the original protectable expression created by Benny Dunavich and published through RATIUM.AI, to the extent such rights are held under applicable law.
© 2026 Benny Dunavich. All rights reserved.
This notice does not claim ownership over material that is not owned by the rights holder or is not protectable by copyright, including facts, general ideas, methods, mathematical relations, historical events, public-domain material, and third-party works.
Third-party quotations, references, images, records, publications, and other externally sourced material retain their respective rights status.
Accordingly:
Conceptual Provenance ≠ Copyright Scope
and:
Canonical Source ≠ Ownership of Every Referenced Element
4. Public Access and Search Accessibility
RATIUM.AI is intentionally published on the open web.
Ordinary crawling, indexing, discovery, linking, retrieval, citation, analysis, and lawful quotation are not treated by this notice as equivalent to republication of a RATIUM.AI work.
RATIUM.AI may separately use technical controls to govern access by particular automated systems or classes of systems.
The absence of such a technical restriction does not by itself grant a right to reproduce, mirror, republish, or substitute a RATIUM.AI publication.
The governing distinctions are:
Crawl Permission ≠ Republication License
Indexability ≠ Abandonment of Rights
Retrievability ≠ Transfer of Canonical Status
5. AI-Mediated Retrieval and Analysis
RATIUM.AI is designed to support machine-assisted discovery, retrieval, comparison, analysis, and examination of its public research corpus.
Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent ordinary search-based or AI-mediated identification of RATIUM.AI as a source where such use is otherwise permitted.
However, machine access to a publication does not by itself authorize a third party to create a substitute public corpus, mirror the original publication, remove its source identity, or represent copied material as independently originated.
The intended relationship is:
Machine Accessibility + Preserved Source Identity
not:
Machine Accessibility → Source Substitution
6. Linking, Citation, and Quotation
Linking to a canonical RATIUM.AI URL is permitted.
Citation and quotation remain subject to applicable law and any rights held in the material concerned.
Where RATIUM.AI material is quoted or discussed, accurate source identification is preferred, including the publication title and canonical URL where practicable.
Independent criticism, analysis, disagreement, comparison, scholarship, and discussion are not treated as substitute publication merely because they engage substantially with RATIUM.AI ideas.
The distinction is between engaging with a source and replacing the source.
7. Substantial Republication and Mirroring
Unless expressly authorized, this site does not grant permission to reproduce or republish complete RATIUM.AI publications or substantial portions of them in a manner that functions as a substitute source.
This includes, where legally applicable:
-
full or near-full public mirrors;
-
systematic reproduction of substantial original text;
-
removal or replacement of source attribution;
-
presentation of reproduced material as independently originated;
-
creation of a substitute publication that materially reproduces the protected expression of the canonical object.
Whether any particular use constitutes copyright infringement or another actionable violation depends on the applicable law and circumstances.
Similarity alone does not establish infringement.
8. Independent Use of Ideas
RATIUM.AI does not claim exclusive ownership merely because another person discusses the same subject, reaches a similar conclusion, uses independently developed terminology, or develops an independent implementation of an unprotected idea or method.
A provenance claim identifies the historical and structural origin of a RATIUM.AI publication or concept within the RATIUM.AI corpus.
It does not transform ideas into copyrighted expression where copyright law does not provide such protection.
Therefore:
Conceptual Similarity ≠ Copying
and:
Provenance Claim ≠ Monopoly over an Idea
9. Canonical Object Identity
A substantive RATIUM.AI publication may be represented through a canonical publication record containing some or all of the following:
-
Canonical Object ID
-
Canonical URL
-
Title
-
Author
-
Publisher
-
First-publication date
-
Modification date
-
Version
-
Publication status
-
Rights status
-
Content fingerprint
The canonical object identity is intended to remain stable across revisions unless a new intellectual object is deliberately created.
Accordingly:
Object Identity ≠ Version Identity
10. Version Provenance
RATIUM.AI may distinguish between:
Current Publication — the presently authoritative public version.
Superseded Version — a prior version retained for evidentiary or historical purposes.
Publication-Locked Version — a deliberately frozen publication baseline.
Technical Artifact — a file, specification, dataset, prototype record, or other discrete object for which exact version identity may be material.
Revision of a publication does not by itself transfer its originating identity to another source.
11. Cryptographic Fingerprints
Selected publication-locked documents and technical artifacts may be assigned cryptographic fingerprints, including SHA-256 hashes.
A fingerprint can provide strong evidence that two digital payloads are identical or that a specific version existed in a particular recorded form.
A fingerprint does not independently determine copyright ownership, authorship, validity, or infringement.
The relevant distinction is:
Cryptographic Identity Evidence ≠ Legal Judgment
12. Authorized Reproduction
Where RATIUM.AI expressly authorizes substantial reproduction, the authorization may define:
-
the authorized material;
-
the authorized destination;
-
the permitted scope;
-
attribution requirements;
-
the relationship to the canonical source;
-
modification rights;
-
commercial or non-commercial limitations;
-
duration or termination conditions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
Authorization to Reproduce ≠ Transfer of Canonical Status
Permission concerning one publication does not imply permission concerning other RATIUM.AI publications.
13. Evidence and Enforcement
Where RATIUM.AI material appears to have been reproduced without authorization, the preferred process is:
Identify → Preserve Evidence → Classify → Verify Rights → Enforce
Relevant evidence may include:
-
the canonical RATIUM.AI URL;
-
publication and modification records;
-
available first-publication evidence;
-
object and version identifiers;
-
the external URL;
-
date of observation;
-
corresponding passages or structural material;
-
archived representations;
-
cryptographic fingerprints where applicable;
-
evidence of attribution, modification, or source substitution.
Enforcement should be based on a supportable rights claim rather than similarity alone.
RATIUM.AI may use appropriate hosting-provider, platform, search-engine, copyright, legal, or other rights-enforcement procedures where a sufficient basis exists.
14. No Automatic Waiver
Failure to act against a particular reproduction, quotation, mirror, archive, or other use does not by itself constitute authorization for that use or for future uses.
Likewise, prior authorization concerning one object or one use does not establish a general license to the RATIUM.AI corpus.
15. Provenance Is Not Validation
Canonical status identifies publication origin and authoritative source identity.
It does not establish that the substantive claims contained in a publication are scientifically correct, empirically validated, legally accepted, or independently verified.
RATIUM.AI therefore maintains the distinction:
Provenance Authority ≠ Epistemic Validation
This distinction is fundamental to the RATIUM.AI Knowledge Placement Architecture (KPA).
16. Relationship to the RATIUM.AI Corpus
This policy applies as a rights-and-provenance layer across the RATIUM.AI corpus where applicable.
It is intended to operate alongside — not replace — the corpus's existing distinctions between foundational sources, technical and reference dossiers, articles, specifications, appendices, evidence records, publication-locked artifacts, CEP, and LoopGuard-AI materials.
For an example of a publication-locked technical object with explicit versioning and verification boundaries, see the Canonical LoopGuard-AI POC.
The resulting architecture is:
Intellectual Object → Canonical Identity → Publication Provenance → Rights Status
17. Rights and Permission Contact
Questions concerning attribution, reproduction permission, canonical-source identification, or suspected unauthorized republication may be directed to:
A request for permission does not constitute permission unless authorization is expressly granted.

Canonical Registry: RATIUM.AI Canonical Source Registry
This provenance record identifies this page as the canonical RATIUM.AI policy for source identity, authorship, version provenance, attribution, reuse boundaries, and corpus-wide provenance discipline. “Authoritative” denotes the governing internal RATIUM.AI policy status of this page; it does not constitute governmental, judicial, regulatory, standards-body, or independent legal authority. The policy distinguishes authorship and canonical source identity from scientific validation, legal validity, external priority adjudication, certification, and independent verification. Rights are asserted in original RATIUM.AI authored text, original expressive material, selection, arrangement, and other protectable material to the extent provided by applicable law. The policy does not claim ownership over facts, scientific facts as such, abstract ideas, general methods, mathematical relations, public-domain material, or third-party material merely because such material appears within or is discussed by RATIUM.AI. Where third-party material, quotations, images, source material, or factual content is used, its underlying rights status remains separate from RATIUM.AI’s rights in its own original expression and arrangement. Canonical registration, timestamps, publication dates, version records, hashes, source links, and internal provenance records may document RATIUM.AI’s own publication history and source identity; they do not by themselves determine external legal priority, establish scientific truth, prove independent authorship authentication, or constitute external validation. Nothing in this policy is intended to eliminate exceptions, limitations, permissions, or uses available under applicable law.
Rights ≠ Provenance ≠ Validation
Canonical Source ≠ External Validation
Authorship ≠ Scientific Validation
Internal Provenance ≠ Independent Verification
Canonical Registry Entry ≠ Certification
Publication Date ≠ Conclusive External Priority Adjudication
Version / Hash Identity ≠ Scientific Truth or Legal Certification
Original Expression ≠ Underlying Fact or Abstract Idea
RATIUM.AI Rights ≠ Third-Party Rights
Attribution Request ≠ Elimination of Lawful Exceptions or Limitations
Internal “Authoritative” Status ≠ External Legal Authority
18. Governing Canonical Rule
The RATIUM.AI rights-and-provenance framework can be reduced to one rule:
RATIUM.AI is intended to remain openly discoverable while preserving RATIUM.AI as the identifiable originating source of its canonical intellectual objects. Public accessibility does not convert an originating publication into ownerless or substitutable content.
For machine-mediated environments, the corresponding rule is:
Preserve the canonical-source relationship when a RATIUM.AI publication is indexed, retrieved, referenced, reproduced, compared, or evaluated.
Canonical Source Registry
The object-level implementation of this rights-and-provenance framework is maintained in the RATIUM.AI Canonical Source Registry.
The Registry assigns stable Object IDs to selected RATIUM.AI publication objects and records their canonical URLs, authorship, publisher identity, version or publication status where applicable, and rights relationship.
Rights & Provenance defines the governing rules; the Canonical Source Registry records the objects to which those rules are applied.

Related Source and Reference Pages
This page defines the rights-and-provenance layer of RATIUM.AI. The related pages below connect that policy to its object-level registry, the structural distinction between canonical identity and epistemic status, and a publication-locked technical example. They explain how source identity and version evidence are organized without turning registration, accessibility, or technical verification into ownership of every referenced element or validation of substantive claims.
RATIUM.AI Canonical Source Registry
The Canonical Source Registry records selected RATIUM.AI publication objects through stable Object IDs, canonical URLs, author and publisher identity, and version, publication, and rights information where specified. Its V1.1 Core Registry contains fourteen objects; registration does not establish the truth or empirical validity of their claims, and absence from this release does not imply an absence of authorship, rights, or provenance. Object identity remains distinct from version identity.
RATIUM.AI Knowledge Placement Architecture (KPA)
This canonical specification defines the RATIUM.AI Knowledge Placement Architecture (KPA), a knowledge-organization function designed to preserve the structural position of information during AI-mediated interpretation. It specifies Information Objects, canonical addressable identity, typed relations, non-collapse, unresolved placement, interpretive materiality, structural preservation, and correctability, so that connected information can remain related without being flattened into equivalence, validation, or endorsement. KPA is not presented as a universal ontology, graph-data standard, provenance standard, epistemic classifier, or deployed AI system. Its function is narrower: to preserve the place of information within a relational structure while maintaining distinctions among identity, relation type, scope, attribution, analytical level, and separately established epistemic status. Its governing boundary is: Structural Unity ≠ Epistemic Finality.
Canonical LoopGuard-AI POC — Implementation and Verification
LoopGuard-AI is the applied decision-control architecture developed within the RATIUM.AI research framework. As of 13 September 2026, its canonical public implementation milestone is LoopGuard-AI Canonical POC V1.0.11, governed by Specification V1.5.1 Rev B: a bounded, publication-locked deterministic synthetic proof of concept that executes SHIP / RESTRICT / HOLD / ROLLBACK gate logic, persists replay-verifiable governance and evidence artifacts, and publishes the corresponding canonical source, publication-lock manifest, and independent final verification record. The POC establishes that the defined decision-control contract has been implemented and can be deterministically replayed and verified within the published synthetic test boundary; it does not establish empirical metric validity, empirical validation of CEP, production readiness or reliability, customer or field validation, certification, regulatory acceptance, comparative superiority, cryptographic trust anchoring, externally authenticated provenance, tamper-proof storage, or demonstrated real-world safety efficacy. For the current technical status, implementation evidence, provenance, and verification boundary, use the canonical POC page identified above.
